Launching an Effective Presentation

This instructor development workshop provides tools and tips for developing and delivering effective presentations. Topics include andragogy, learning objectives, creating relevance, visual aids, creating effective slides, using technology to create presentations, proper room set-up, handling problem students, student engagement, and instructional techniques.

Important Notes:

1. Access the course from a laptop or desktop computer.  Mobile devices are not recommended.

2. Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are the preferred browsers.

3. You must enable third party cookies in your browser in order for the system to save your progress in the course.

4. If you do not pass a quiz, do not move forward.  Instead, retake the quiz until you receive a passing score of 80% or higher.  

5. If you want to take a break from the course, then be sure to log out of the course first to save your progress.  Logging out means clicking on the Logout button in upper right hand section of the Learn.ncrec.gov page (rather than just closing the browser).
